Purchases and Refunds
Effective September 21, 2026
This page explains who sells Solidly to you, how refunds work, and the rights you have that we cannot take away. It sits alongside the Terms of Service and the License Agreement.
Solidly is free to evaluate
Opening, inspecting, rendering, Photo Mode, animation playback and the Quick Look extension all work without paying anything, for as long as you like. Paying unlocks editing, saving and exporting, and the command line tool in the version downloaded from this site.
Whether Solidly opens your files correctly, on your Mac, at the speed you need, can therefore be established before you spend anything. We ask you to satisfy yourself that Solidly suits you while it costs you nothing, because that is what our refund policy assumes you have done.
Our refund policy
This section covers purchases made on solidly.dev. Apple handles refunds for purchases made in the Mac App Store; see Who sells Solidly below.
We review refund requests case by case. There is no fixed refund window and no form to complete. Write to support@getadversaria.com from the address you bought with, describe what happened, and we will review it and reply with a decision.
A refund is at our discretion rather than automatic. In deciding, we take account of how long ago the purchase was made and the reason you give. We are unlikely to refund a request that arrives long after purchase, or a repeat purchase by the same person.
We would rather fix a problem than keep payment for something that does not work, so please tell us what went wrong before asking for a refund. A file that will not open, or a feature that misbehaves, is often something we can address quickly.
Where we agree to a refund, we ask Stripe to process it. It returns to the original payment method, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank. Refunding a purchase ends the license it paid for, and editing stops being available on that account.
If Solidly does not work as described
Separately from the policy above, you keep your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. Those rights cannot be excluded by agreement, and nothing on this page limits them. Where we cannot bring Solidly into conformity with what was described, you are entitled to a refund and we will issue one.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK
Consumers buying digital content normally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. That right does not survive immediate delivery of digital content which the consumer has agreed to.
Because a purchase unlocks editing in Solidly straight away, checkout on solidly.dev asks you to consent to the license taking effect immediately and to acknowledge that doing so ends your right to cancel. Giving that consent is a condition of purchase. Once you have given it and the purchase is fulfilled, the 14-day right no longer applies. We record the consent against your purchase, together with the date and the wording you were shown, and your receipt repeats it.
Your rights where digital content is faulty or not as described are separate from the right to cancel and are not affected by that consent. Our own policy above also continues to apply, and you are welcome to ask under it. For a purchase made in the Mac App Store, Apple’s terms govern the right to cancel.
Other consumer protections
If you are in Australia, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including a right to a refund for a major failure. Consumers elsewhere keep whatever non-excludable rights local law gives them. Where this page is narrower than the law where you live, the law applies.
Who sells Solidly
If you bought from solidly.dev, Stripe is the merchant of record. Stripe takes the payment, calculates and remits any sales tax, VAT or GST, and issues your receipt. Your card statement will not name Adversaria or Solidly alone. It shows LINK.COM* SOLIDLY, which is usually the explanation for a charge you do not recognize.
If you bought from the Mac App Store, Apple is the seller. Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple under Apple’s own policy, and we can neither issue them nor refuse them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
In both cases Adversaria grants the license and supports the product itself.
Chargebacks
If a charge appears to be wrong, please email us before disputing it with your bank. A charge you do not recognize is usually explained by the LINK.COM* SOLIDLY statement line described above, and we can confirm that in a single reply. A dispute takes several weeks and costs both of us more than a direct answer does. We do not penalize anyone for asking.
Receipts
Stripe issues your receipt as merchant of record and emails it to you. You can also reach it from your account’s billing page, which links to Stripe’s copy. We do not issue a separate invoice, because Stripe rather than Adversaria is the seller of record for the transaction.
For a purchase made in the Mac App Store, Apple issues the receipt, and it is in your Apple Account’s purchase history. We do not issue one for that purchase either.
