Model importing

Solidly enforces a ceiling on how much memory a single import may add, and abandons the load rather than exhausting the system when a file asks for more. The recommended value is roughly half of the memory available after reserving what macOS itself needs.
The Quick Look extension and the command line tool enforce the same limit.
Caches

Clear All Caches empties both. Clearing a cache never affects a file on disk or any unsaved edit. The next model switch reparses from disk and the next preview is rebuilt.
File types
A switch per format decides whether Solidly is the default application for it in the Finder. See File types.

Reset
Reset Layout returns the inspector panels to their default state and closes the texture preview and shading network panels. Windows open at their default size and position from the next launch.
Reset All Settings… returns every setting in the Settings window to the value Solidly shipped with. It asks for confirmation first, and it does not touch open models, recent files, or your account. It cannot be undone.
